I'm excited that you're reading this, and I'm looking forward to working together to create films and web series.
"Wait, what?" you say? "I'm just reading your first blog post. I haven't signed up for anything!"
I get it. You didn't plan on getting involved. But I hope that you do. As you may know, we are in a unique "Golden Age" of television. And really, television is moving online and away from traditional TV. Content providers like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu are putting out some really significant shows and movies. Also, content creation is getting cheaper to do because technology is becoming more and more accessible.
This results in more and more people creating content. Some of this content is engaging, thought provoking, and funny. Some of this content is, for a lack of a better word, terrible. I want the content that I create to be well written, well acted, and to have a high production value. I want to make engaging, thought provoking, and funny films and web series.
This is where you come in. I'm looking for people to work with to make great content. I want you to support Loose Cannon. More than "giving me money," I want you to be invested in helping to create content that you are proud of.
In the coming weeks, I'll be posting scripts (feature length in bite sized chunks, and full versions of shorts) for you to read. My hope is that you'll help decide and shape the productions that Loose Cannon creates. I'll be launching a Patreon site, where you can best become a part of the Loose Cannon family.
In every post, I'll be featuring a person or company that deserves some attention. I'm excited for who you are going to meet!
Scott Linson- Tura Productions
I met Scott on Facebook when I was looking for some help finishing up a short film I wrote and directed called, "Pause!" He immediately suggested we meet in downtown Seattle and talk shop. Intrigued, we set up a meeting.
I spent over an hour talking with Scott, and I was impressed with his passion for filmmaking. He was like me, someone without a media production background learning it all as he went along, collaborating with others to make shorts. His Tura Productions on YouTube (Please subscribe!) shows his prolific creation and passion for creating original content.
I hope you'll partner with him as he moves forward on upcoming projects. He has released a trailer for "The Artifact" as a proof of concept, and is moving toward production.
You can reach out to Scott at TURAProductions@gmail.com if you'd like to know more about upcoming projects, or connect with his Facebook page here-facebook.com/TURAProductions2017/.
