Honestly, there are many problems with the script. The dialogue needs vast improvement. The entire script needs to be shorted to about 90 pages. Whole scenes could be removed. There needs to be a more defined structure to the plot. There's more, I'm sure. Feel free to elaborate in the comment section below.
I'll admit- this script feels a bit like, "The Room", Tommy Wiseau's cult-classic film. If you've never heard of this movie, it's known as one of the worst films of all time. "The Disaster Artist" chronicled the making of this film really well. I don't necessarily recommend seeing "The Room", but if you wanted to see "The Disaster Artist", you should see the source material to really appreciate James Franco's film.
In any case, my film is probably more like "The Room" than say "Garden State" from which I was inspired (The TV show "Lost" was also a muse of mine, as you can tell with the constant flashbacks). I have no problem with comparing my script to "The Room". Is this script worth working on, to improve to the point of production? I'd love to hear what you think below.
